Lolita and Henrietta

Landon would like you to meet his new friends Lolita the Leopard and Henrietta the Hippo! These hand puppets came with one of his books and ever since we got them out he hardly puts them down. He will bring them to one of us and hold out his hands so that he can slip the puppets on. When he takes one off so that he can do something he holds the puppet in the other hand. It is so FUN to watch...he kisses them, loves on them and treats them like they are his real friends!

Water Hose Exploration

Brian had fun helping Landon figure out the water hose. Landon got quite wet in the process. Today he went to his water table and stuck his hand in to splash around and when he saw there wasn't any water he went to the hose. So cute...at least he is trying to be a problem solver.:) Notice the yellow shovel in his hand...that is his favorite thing to carry around when we are outside. No matter what he is doing he wants his shovel with him.

Dinner at the Moffatts

William, Landon, Reed and Jamie

Last night we went over to our friend's house and had some YUMMY fish, fries, beans, pot. salad and the list goes on and on...they were awesome hosts! The little ones enjoyed playing and exploring. They may not play with each other at this point but they definitely have fun watching each other and stealing each other's toys. Thanks for a nice night Trey, Krista and William!

Kindermusik

Landon and Jacob playing in the tunnels and scarves

Landon finished his last class of Kindermusik on Thursday. He really enjoys dancing, playing with instruments and being around other kiddos! He was really into the scarves this time. At one point he was sitting in the basket "guarding" them. He will start back in September, but he will be in the older class then. He is growing up so fast. I cannot believe this time last year I had a 4 month old.

Grandpa and Grandma's Visit

Grandma and Landon

Grandpa, Grandma and Landon

Looking up at Grandpa...how sweet!

Feeding the goats...they like the paper better than the food.

Dining outside on a nice evening

Friendly Zebras

Brian's parents came into town last weekend and we had a good time while they were here. Landon warmed up to them pretty quickly so that was a great thing. They played a peek-a-boo game right away using his tunnel. He thought that was hilarious! He also enjoyed playing outside with Grandpa and Grandma and getting spoiled by them. Grandpa and Grandma always let you get away with more than Mom and Dad. We ate at Clear Springs one evening and went to the Wildlife Ranch Sunday afternoon. It is amazing to see the animals so close...some come right up to your car and would even poke their head in if you let them. The zebras and ostriches are the social butterflies of the group. It was a nice weekend. Wish we could see each other more often but we live so far apart. Looking forward to the Colorado Reunion!

Mother's Day

Landon being silly

Landon and Daddy checking out the goats

I had a GREAT Mother's Day. We started off the morning at Los Gallos for some YUMMY migas and cappuccino! We then had a nice Sunday drive and came home and Landon and Brian took a nap. After nap time we headed for the San Antonio Zoo. It was nice to be outside and have a family outing even though the animals did not cooperate. The big animals were either laying down or hiding. It is pretty hard to get a 15 month old to see a lion, bear, zebra or alligator when they are far away and sleeping. Landon LOVES to be outside so he did not seem to care. The goats cracked him up and he really enjoys to people watch. I am truly blessed to be Landon's Mommy! He is such a sweet and happy boy that brings me joy all the time!

Kaila and Landon

Kim and I met at a local coffee shop a few days ago and while we enjoyed an iced latte the kiddos played in the big backyard. We were supposed to take them to the Children's Museum, but when we showed up there we three buses in the parking lot. No thanks...we will go another time!! At least they had fun playing in the great outdoors! The weather could not have been nicer, so it worked out for the best.

Daddy will you buy me one of these?

We went to a play date recently and Landon loved this little car. He was so proud of himself when he figured out how to drive it all on his own!

Kindermusik

Going in for the hug...

so sweet!

Landon has been going to a music and movement class called Kindermusik. He loves this class and really enjoys playing with the instruments and dancing to the music! These pictures are of him and his new friend, Abby.

Does this child look sick to you?

I took Landon to the doctor on Monday morning for his 15 month check up and I told his doctor that he had some croup episodes the past 2 nights, but then he was perfectly fine during the day and he was acting completely normal. Well she took a look at him and found out that he had a double ear infection. I guess they do not seem to bother him because we had no clue. He did not act sick at all. He played at the beach all weekend and never ran a fever or acted fussy. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing, but I was caught off guard when she told me her findings. So our "well baby" visit became a "sick baby" visit and we had to reschedule our "well baby" visit for Friday. Just thought I would include this picture I took on Monday after the appointment so you could see our happy "sick" baby.
