Happy Valentine's Day!

I just LOVE this picture!  She played with those pom poms on her feet all day!

Chef Landon
His completed masterpiece!  If you look closely, you can see that he placed his pepperoni in the shape of a heart as well.  He did that on purpose!
Our little sweeties!

My Valentine's Day Date :)   For all of you wondering...this is not coffee!  It is jazzed up chocolate milk!

Landon wanted to take a picture of his girls!

Landon's valentines he took to school this year!  I was lucky to find the printables on an awesome blog!  He wrote his name on the backs of them because the space was way too small up front!

We had a GREAT Valentine's Day!  Landon celebrated at school with a special snack and drink.  They also played BINGO.   He took Star Wars Valentines to his friends and all the kiddos exchanged with each other!  He was super proud of his box full of goodies!

After school, Landon, McKenzie and I headed to Starbucks for a Valentine's date!  Landon enjoyed an awesome glass of chocolate milk with whipped topping and extra chocolate syrup.  I had a yummy iced latte!  Brian was out of town for the week for business, so he and Landon gave me a Starbucks gift card the Sunday before Valentine's Day!  Landon was as excited as I was about the date!  He even special ordered his own drink!

That evening we made heart shaped pizzas for supper and enjoyed each other's company.

Hope everyone had a day filled with love! :)

Kindergarten, here comes Landon...

Little celebration lunch at Jason's Deli after turning in his paperwork!

I cannot believe the time has finally come to register Landon for Kindergarten.  Since Landon was itty bitty I have told him that when he turns 5 and goes to Kinder I am going to cry, and he would always tell me, "No, you cannot cry!"  I have actually held it together so far, but all I have done is register him for the BIG milestone year!  I do feel at ease because he will be attending private Kinder at the same school he goes to preschool, so it probably will not really hit me until he enters 1st grade at our neighborhood public school.  He is very excited about going to Kindergarten.  He is extremely social and loves being at school and around his friends, so I know he will do great.  McKenzie and I will miss him throughout the day, but I am sure he will fill us in on all the excitement when we pick him up each afternoon!

Congrats on a new milestone Landon...Mommy and Daddy are so proud of the big boy you have become!

Love his expression in this one!

Look at that excited face!

a few of the party goers taking a snack break :)

My friend Moni held McKenzie during the party and I guess it was just too much excitement for the lil' miss!

Landon decided after he went through Jedi Training at Disney World that he was going to have a Star Wars birthday party when he turned 5!  I had a ton of fun searching online for themed snack ideas!  We had it at the Jumpy Place this year and it went so well.  The kiddos enjoyed playing/jumping/running and then we came together for cake!  At the very end, Landon got everyone together for "present time!"

Thanks to all our friends that made his day so special!

We took Landon and his closest buddies from school to Chuck E. Cheese's on Landon's actual birthday!  We usual go somewhere special for his birthday dinner, BUT we decided that we needed to do something extra special since he was turning FIVE..."a whole hand!" as he tells us!  We are so glad that his friends could join us on his BIRTHDAY adventure!

McKenzie is 3 months old...

smiling at Landon :)

what she was most interested in ;)

Little Miss in constant motion...silly girl!

McKenzie is no longer a "newborn."  It was pretty tricky getting this picture, and I imagine it will only get harder.  She was more interested in grabbing her feet and eating her skirt!  She is quite the wiggle worm.  I was with her for 30 minutes trying to get her to smile for me and had very little luck, so I called Landon in her room and she was full of smiles then!  Glad she already loves her big brother.  His silliness makes her smile A LOT!

McKenzie you...
- had your first really long stretch of sleep at night...7 1/2 hours!
- love to play with your hands and feet.
- snort when you get mad...sorry, but this makes me laugh!
- want to be held facing outward when we are in public, so you do not miss any action!
- had your 1st nap in your crib...you were not a fan of that!

Landon the Hunter

Ready to go bow hunting...

I think he may need to find a bigger tree :)

He even learned to drive the gator this year!  Off to the blind with Dad!  Notice the BB gun in the gun rack and him telling the cows to move out of the way.

Here is Snowy peeking through the hole!

a boy and his dog

practicing his aim on a few targets :)

Posing by Dad's doe - He definitely has the pose down!

Daisy loves ranch life as well!  Looks like she was a little too close to the deer cleaning on got dripped on!

Snowy in his hunting spot.

Landon ready for the big hunt!

Landon is a true outdoorsman, and will jump at the chance to go to my parents' ranch in Goliad whenever he can!  He had watched some hunting shows and decided that he was not going to sit in a blind...he was going to take his bow and arrow and walk around in the woods (with Pa) to find deer, pigs, etc.  He came home so excited and could not wait to tell me that he had shot his arrow at a deer but the deer saw him and ran away before the arrow made it to him.  I must say he has a pretty good arm and can make the arrow go pretty far!  He then sits with his dad in the blind for the evening hunts and enjoys seeing all the animals, including the mouse that visits him in the blind that he named Snowy!  Snowy became a bit tame this deer season and would sit on the ledge behind them as they hunted...glad I was not in the blind with them!  Landon received not 1, but 2 BB guns for Christmas...1 from his Dad and 1 from his Uncle Ryan!  He was thrilled and has already enjoyed shooting targets with them and he has also shot at several animals!  He says he is ready to shoot a hog, and that when he is 5 he will shoot one!  Being that he turns five in a week, I guess he will be doing just that sometime in 2012!
