Outdoor Fun

The weather has been so nice here lately. I took Landon on a stroll in his wagon for the first time. He snacked on Puffs, drank water and looked around at all the houses in the neighborhood. He LOVES the outdoors. It was very windy so I had to chase the hat a couple of times, but other than that we had a great time. He also likes playing in his play structure outside. It is so amazing to watch him develop more and more everyday.

Grammy's Visit

Grammy came to visit for a few days. I enjoyed playing with her and I especially liked it when she took me outside to swing. I love the outdoors! My Grammy's friend Katy came over one day, and this is a picture of all of us. Check out my tongue...twisting my tongue upside down is my new trick. My Mommy and Daddy can't even do it.

Living the Sweet Life

Hakuna Matata

If you look closely you can see a baby between the gorilla's legs. Her mommy is named Martha. My mom was thrilled about that. :)

No stress in these gorillas lives!

Time with Pa

Gladys Porter Zoo

Grammy, Aunt Mary, Aunt Lauren, Mommy and I went to the zoo on Friday! This was my first trip to the zoo and boy was it fun. We started out the day at Starbucks because all the adults needed a little jolt before the big adventure. I got to see lions and tigers and bears...oh my!! My favorite exhibit was the aviary. Grammy bought popsicle sticks with bird seed on them and the birds would sit on Mommy's hand and eat. I stuck my finger near one of the birds mouth and he gave me a little peck. I thought that was funny...it made me giggle. I enjoyed my first trip to the zoo and I cannot wait for Mommy to take me to the San Antonio Zoo

Naked Cowboy

Howdy Partner!

If you are familiar with the Naked Cowboy in commercials and on TV you will find humor in these pictures. If not you can google "naked cowboy" so that you can find the same humor we did in these. Landon received a guitar from his friend Ethan and a hat from Pa and Grammy so we just couldn't resist.

Craigs List Rocks!

Mommy went shopping on craigslist and found me this cool play structure! Daddy had to do the dirty work...pick it up, pay for it and put it together. Thanks Daddy! I love the slide the best...if I wiggle my hiney just right I go right down the slide.

Beautiful Weather

It is such a perfect day outside...sunny and a cool breeze! Landon and I took a Sunday stroll through the neighborhood. It was not as long as I would have liked, but I was afraid he might get a sunburn because he did not have any sunscreen on. He did sport his new hat from Aunt Tammy and Uncle Paul. He kept it on because he hates for the sun to shine in his eyes. I will have to be prepared next time and lather him up so that we can stay gone longer. I am so excited spring is just around the corner!

National Pancake Day

Landon and I met some other mommies and their kiddos at IHOP this morning and enjoyed FREE pancakes. This was Landon's first experience with pancakes and he loved them. He seems to be a bottomless pit these days. He even digs in the crumb catcher of his bib to get every last morsel. He LOVES blueberries so I put a VERY thin layer of blueberry syrup on a few pieces and he thought that was the best!

Visit from Kansas

Brian's brother, Mike, came into town over the weekend and we enjoyed going to some TOP tourist locations. We went to Gruene, of course, and ate at the Gristmill. That is a must when visitors come our way. On Sunday we went to Clearsprings and we all had onion rings with ranch(YUM!) and shrimp brochette. Brian gave Mike a tour of the river and the lake (by car, not by boat). Brian gets pretty intense about the lake so I think Mike was pleased when his tour was over. We tried to tell him that he missed half the lake, but he was okay with that. Landon took right to Mike. We were happy about that since he does not see him that often. He crawled right over to him and pulled up on his pant leg. Landon was probably thinking...hmmm, you look a little like my dad. We had a great time with Mike and we wish him luck at his week long training in Austin.

Hunting Adventure in George West

Brian had the opportunity to go hunting at his friend Trey's place in George West. He went with the intentions of killing a doe for some tasty venison, but Bambi's mom was spared when a bobcat appeared out of the brush. That was a first for Brian so needless to say he was thrilled. He had a great "Guys" weekend.

Fun at the Park

We went to Landa park with Landon's friend Kaila and they LOVED sliding down the slides and swinging. It was really cute because they would hold hands as they slid down. They have a lot of fun together and Kaila is great at saying Landon's name. Landon got to experience Teddy Grahams for the first time thanks to Kaila. He thought that was pretty cool.

I was going through pictures of Landon's 1st year and I came across this and I just had to post it. It cracks me up. He will not like me for this when he is older. When he was itty bitty his hair would do this right after his bath.

Look at me...

Daddy turned my seat around since I am a BIG boy now. I love being able to see my Mommy when she is driving. I laugh and make noises just to get her attention. Mommy has to sneak her snacks now because I can see her if she eats in the car and then I want to eat too!!
