Kansas ~ Summer 2009

Brian and Landon headed to the "Family Day" part of the class reunion :)
Grandma helping Landon ride the tricycle :)
Kansas Cousins - They had fun together.
Papa pushing Landon real high on the swings...weeeee!
This see saw was lots of fun with Papa on it!

Brian's 20 Year Class Reunion was held last weekend and we are so happy that we were able to attend. We both had a great time. I enjoyed meeting all his high school friends and he had a blast reminiscing! :) Brian had to return to work , so he flew back and Landon and I stayed a little longer. Landon loved playing with his Papa, Grandma, Uncle Mike, Aunt Tina and all his cousins. Papa and Grandma have so many fun toys and great closets to hide/play in and he thought Mike and Tina had the best sand box ever!. We hit a few parks, some local restaurants, the zoo (pictures to come) and enjoyed hanging out at home. The best part was just being able to relax and have fun...we are usually in Kansas during the holidays and as everyone knows, holidays are crazy busy! The drive back was the longest road trip I have done with Landon on my own and it could not have gone any better. He is such a trooper. :) Thanks Papa and Grandma for such a memorable time.

Fearless Fish

Landon waiting to start class...poor guy is squinting because it is so bright.

Ian and Landon

Taking a little boat ride...a treat on the last day!

Practicing the correct way to float in a life jacket
Waiting his turn to jump in the pool!

Landon has absolutely no fear of the water, so we were excited when he got to participate in "big boy" swim lessons. He is supposed to be 3 to enter this class, but since he loves the water and was fine with me not being with him in the water, the instructor let him be in the 3 year old group! Today was his last day and on the last day you are allowed to get super close and take pictures. I just love watching what my lil' guy can do. Each time he jumped in the pool to swim to the teacher, he would pop up out of the water and say, "again!" Landon looked forward to his lesson each day...one afternoon I woke him from his nap to go to his lesson and right away he said, "flip flops" because he likes to wear those to the pool! :)

Clark Family Reunion 2009

Fun at the hotel...

Under the mushroom

About to go down a slide...weeeee!

Each year the Clark Family Reunion is held in a different city/state. This year it was in New Braunfels and we hosted for the first time. That is what happens when you get older...more responsibilities! I have a new found respect for all past and future hosts! We all had a great time and it was nice talking with everyone and watching all the kiddos have FUN together! There are so many kids now and they had a blast playing together. :) Looking forward to visiting Lake Charles next summer!

We celebrated the 4th of July all weekend with family. We watched a ski show on Thursday, hung out with cousins and had a great dinner together on Friday, went to a parade on Saturday morning and ended the day at the ski lodge with some swimming, playground fun, an awesome meal and amazing fireworks! Tammy, Paul and Elliana were able to come Saturday night. We really enjoy having them so close.
