Uncle Cho Ro

We got a surprise this past week when Landon's Uncle Cho Ro (my brother) stopped by on his way through town. He was in this area for business, so we got to see him for a bit. Landon had fun playing with him. He wanted his uncle to see all his toys so he kept bringing different ones to him one by one! Landon wore his deer shirt for the special visit because he knows how much Ryan LOVES deer.

Southern Living at Home Party

Gay and I

As most of you know, I am a Southern Living at Home Consultant. Well...I had my first party in TWO years recently. I took a HUGE break from it when I got pregnant with Landon, so it was time to get things rolling again. My friend, Gay, and I co-hosted it at her nice, new home. That was a big plus for me because then I did not have to get my house sparkling clean for the event. We had fun doing it together. My mom was in town to help which was a great too!

Landon Loves Lizards

Brian and I were doing some yard work and Landon was playing in the rocks and grass. Well...I spotted a lizard and directed Landon's attention to it. He was so excited and had so much fun playing with it. We finally had to free the lizard for his safety. Landon was not trying to hurt him, but he just does not know how to be really gentle!

Pa and Grammy's Visit

Landon LOVED Pa's fish shirt! Here he is pointing to a fish.

Pa and Grammy came to visit Landon (and Brian and I too:)) from Wednesday through Sunday. We went to San Antonio on Thursday and Landon ate at a Tearoom with us...he was a such a gentleman. Then we went to Home Goods and he found a football chair that he really wanted, but when he decided to be a "boy" and play around in it we noticed that it is very tippy and rolls like a football, so we will have to keep looking! We played at home, went for walks, ate out and relaxed. Landon enjoyed his time with his grandparents and we had fun too!

Landon and his Co Ro

Landon and Rowan

This was too funny...after Landon ate his lunch he decided to bask in the sun. He got in this position all by himself. He must have picked up on this from watching others around him. He definitely does not let me chill like that!!

Train Ride

Sweet Smiling Boy

Mary Ann and Rowan came to New Braunfels on Friday and joined us at the Landa Park pool. The pool is perfect for little ones. There is a beach like entry, water spout, slide and huge mushroom waterfall. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves. After the pool and picnic lunch, we went on the train. Landon had fun looking for squirrels during the ride. Rowan decided it was time for a siesta.

I had an OOPS! moment and forgot to pack Landon's real swim suit so that is why he is sporting his cool swim diaper...poor guy, he did not know any difference though.

Duck Watching at Landa Park

Eating a tasty snack and checking out a neat leaf!

Landon and I met a few friends at the Landa Park wading area and after playing in the water we fed the ducks. He finds them quite interesting and enjoyed throwing bread and crackers to them. He tried to give them one of his rice snacks but they said, "No thanks!" to that.

Fun Times in Austin

Landon and I went to Austin on Thursday to see my friend from college, Kellie and her son, Ethan. We got to spend time with Kellie's mom too, which was nice. Kellie and I were suite-mates in college and now we have boys that are about 5 months apart. They are going to have a great time growing up together. Who would of thought that when we met 13 years ago...we would get to experience Mommyhood together? We took the boys to Deep Eddy first and they got to swim and watch the geese and then we went to Waterloo to eat. They have an awesome playground behind Waterloo that the boys enjoyed playing on until the mean Mommies told them is was NAP time. By this time is what 2 p.m. and they both were pooped out from their fun filled day. It was good to catch up and hang out. Thanks for the invite Kellie!

Colorado Adventure

We just returned home from an awesome trip to Colorado. We celebrated Brian's parent's 40th Anniversary while were out there. The weather is absolutely delightful...cool days and nights! Brian's sister, Tammy, and her husband, Paul, have a condo in Keystone, so we were able to stay there for a week and they were great at showing us kid friendly places...parks, horse stables, recreation center, etc. We all had a great time. It was very nice to spend time with family without it being jammed into a few days like at the holidays.

Playground Fun

Landon thinks he is "big stuff" standing on the BIG rock with his cousins

As we were leaving a restaurant, Landon found this big stick and he did not want to put it down, so Brian grabbed the other end and walked him to the car...it was pretty funny!

"Daddy, how many of these bills do I need to buy myself a doggy?"

The girls went for pedicures one afternoon...aren't our toes pretty? We all got the color - Friar Friar Pants and Fire!

Grandpa and Grandma treated us to a train ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. This was Landon's first real train ride...much different than the ones at parks and zoos! We got to see some great scenery on our ride and Landon spotted some of his new favorite animal...ground squirrels!

Brian, Mike (Brian's Brother) and Lloyd (Brian's Dad)rented 4-wheelers for the day and they truly enjoyed themselves! They could not stop talking about how much fun it was.

We headed for Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp on Friday for a HUGE Yutzy Family Reunion. This is held every 3 years and we always have a blast. There were several cousins Landon's age, so he had a FUN time with them. We hiked up to Monkey Rock and The Crags. Landon loved pointing out the ground squirrels during the hikes...he has a good eye for them! This reunion is such a great experience because you really get to know all the extended family pretty well and everyone is so inviting and welcoming!
