Fishing is hard work!

Brian's birthday was on Saturday and he really wanted to go fishing, so off to Canyon Lake we went.  Landon thought it was his birthday because he loves fishing just as much as his Daddy!  This was Landon's 1st time to go white bass fishing and he is hooked!  We caught some good ones right away and they put on a good fight for a 4 year old!  We will definitely be going back this weekend!

Sunday, was the 2nd Annual W.O.R.D Fishing tournament put on for kiddos.  They stock the river with 3,500 rainbow trout and there are lil' anglers everywhere.  Landon would run each fish he caught up to the game warden so it could be measured.  His largest one of the day was 10 inches.  They received a medal for participation and he wore it proudly to school on Tuesday so he could show his teacher, Ms. Bobbi!

This was a dream weekend for Landon and we hope Daddy had a fabulous birthday!

Decorating his Valentine pouch at Briggs and Ms. Lori's house :)

Making cut-out cookies!

Landon had big celebrations this year for Valentine's Day!  He had a party at school and then my friend Lori opened her home to our MOPS small group for a fun party...the kids and us mommies had a great time catching up with each other!  This year Landon wrote his name on all the Valentines that he gave away at school.  Mommy and Daddy were so proud of him!  We made cut-out sugar cookies and decorated them two different times.  Landon loved the decorating part, or maybe it was the sampling the icing that he liked so much!  He also had a surprise on Valentine's morning...his toilet water was red and his cereal milk was pink!  It was fun making this little holiday so much fun for our lil' guy!

A sweet lady showing Landon how to pet a "Show Steer"

We went to the San Antonio stock show grounds last Friday with two of Landon's friends from his school and their mommies!  We all had a great time...the kiddos rode rides, watched piglets race, ate great food, went through an educational exhibit sponsored by HEB, saw lots of animals, "drove" boats and tractors and ran around like all good cowboys do! :)

When I told Landon we were going to the rodeo he insisted on wearing his cowboy costume, and I let him,  because you are only little once, right?!  He loved being in all his gear and was so excited to wear his cowboy boots!  He had the best time with Cole and Max.  He tells me that they are his buddies and that they like to hang out!  I thought you did not hang out with buddies until you were a teenager?  Boy how times have changed! :)

This was our second year to attend and we will for sure make this an annual event.

Landon's Chapel Performance

Landon goes to chapel every Tuesday at school.  It is really a good little service for the kiddos!  On Tuesday the 3 year old classes got to sing for everybody.  It was so sweet.

Arctic Blast 2011

You have to look hard BUT the white tint on the deck is SNOW!

Love Landon's face in this picture...antcipating snow coming into his face!

Proud of his snow filled glove!

What our back deck looked like...we had a strong wind before the snow and it threw the toys everywhere!

Fun pattern on our table :)

Animal Prints

Heading back inside with a smile!

Last Friday we woke up to SNOW!  This is a BIG deal when you live in Central Texas.  Landon could not wait to get bundled up and run outside to play in it.  Landon and Daddy threw snow at each other, he wrote in the snow, ran in it and looked at different animal prints in the snow.  This was a rare treat for us...I am not a cold weather person but I did go out and have so much fun watching Landon.
