Hunter in the making...

This is how you will find Landon just about every morning and evening!  He grabs his toy gun and backpack full of hunting supplies and heads to the backyard to sit in his "deer blind."  According to him, he has shot mule deer, dove, alligators and the list goes on and on.  His imagination is unreal and makes us laugh all the time!

It's a girl...puppy that is!

Meet Daisy Mae Yutzy :)

Our Little Family

Meeting Daisy for the first time!

First Vet Visit

Playing with her in the backyard :)

Landon has been wanting a dog for a REALLY long time so we decided if we were going to get him one this was the best time...hoping that by October when our new lil' one arrives we will have the puppy pretty trained.  Nobody laugh at this dream, I am truly hoping to make it happen and so far she has been a really good pup!  She sleeps through the night and potty trained super easily!  The one very big problem is she wakes up at 6 EVERY morning and Landon wakes up between 8 and 9.  We are still working on this...I am determined to get her on our schedule!  The only one that has a reason to be up at 6 or before is Brian!  She is a cutie and has won all of our hearts, so we are enjoying the new addition.  Oh yeah, she loves to bite out feet, legs and pants so if you run into us and we smell like "bitter apple no bite spray" you will know why!

Fishing Tournament and Beach Fun

Landon's Buddy, Cole and Landon showing off his big catch of the day!

Loving the beach :)

Hiram and Brian's trout they caught...those will be good eating!

Brian was invited by a friend to fish the Shallow Sport Tournament, so we headed down to South Padre Island the weekend before Memorial Day weekend.  It was a quick trip because he had to be back at work on Monday, but we still had a good time.  Brian enjoyed fishing, Landon had fun on the beach, we got to spend time with my family, and Landon also got to fish and he caught a big trout that he is still telling everyone about every chance he can!  Landon has never had a friend from up here join him at the beach so he thought that was pretty neat! Thanks for the invite Tavarez Family! :)

Go Orange Crush!

Classic soccer picture for little ones...playing in the dirt!

Not sure what he is thinking...I am sure he is thinking about what he would be doing if he was on the field or maybe he is day dreaming about catching a good fish on the lake! ;)

Meme and Pa came to a game...Thanks!

Action shot!

I LOVE his expression in this picture!

Kicking the ball!

End of game snack time!

Soccer season has come to an end and Landon enjoyed it...fishing is his true passion but he did have fun on the soccer field!  He scored a goal in one of the games and the face he gave us was priceless...sad I did not capture it!  He was proud of himslef and we were proud too!  Now that he is old enough we look forward to him trying out team sports to see what suits him best...t-ball will be next! :)

Last Day of 3 Year Old Preschool

Morning of the last day of school...

Landon requested that a take a picture of his funny face :)

Landon, Ms. Bobbi and his good buddy, Cole

Landon and his teacher, Ms. Bobbi

See how much he has grown...this was taken on the first day of school in september!

The end of the day on his first day of school!

Landon had a great year at school this year...he loved his teacher, Ms. Bobbi and he loved being around his friends!  He is super social and always wants his friends around whenever we go anywhere so school is a perfect place for him!  I was so happy with how much he learned this year...he is writing, knows his letters and sounds, is actually putting letters together to make words, he sings all the songs he learns in music class, does very fun craft projects and he will tell us what he has learned about God and Jesus!  Thanks Ms. Bobbi and the rest of the staff that made his year so FABULOUS!  See you again in August in the 4 year old class...sniff, sniff!  Landon you are growing up too fast!

Landon and Ms. Bobbi

Meme, Landon and Pa

Landon along with his class members sang several songs at the western themed end-of-year program!  They all did so well and it was very entertaing to watch. :)  What I loved most, is hearing Landon and his friends sing these songs on the playground, at play dates, in the car, etc.  Landon and a couple of friends even belted out the tunes in a couple of restaurants a few times!  You could tell they practiced hard for their big day and each child knew the songs very well!  So, so cute!  Meme and Pa were able to come up and watch and Landon always likes having family in the audience!  Daddy was out of town for work so I made sure to video the songs and will try and post those soon too!  Landon was very proud of himself and could not wait for Daddy to see him sing!  Great Job Landon!

Fun Birthday at the Caverns

Mining for gems :)

Showing off his treasures :)

The party goers meet Grendel

Jacob and Landon

Landon, Paige and Luke

Landon was invited to a birthday party at Natural Bridge Caverns.  It was actually his "girlfriend's" party.  He tells us he is going to marry Morgan when he gets older and they are going to live in Port Isabel, so he can fish.  He has it pretty much figured out for a 4 year old! ;)  We missed the cave tour because he had a soccer game but he did get to mine for gems, hit the pinata, eat cake and pizza, climb dinosaurs and run around with all his school buddies.  Happy 4th Birthday Morgan!

Day at the Zoo with Meme

Meme came the week after Easter to hang out with me and Landon while Daddy was away for work.  We headed to the zoo on Monday.  It was a nice little outing.  Landon bats his sweet, big eyelashes at Meme and gets a sno cone and a toy from the gift shop!  Landon insisted on the blue bubblegum flavored sno cone only to be disappointed and saying, "I chose a yucky flavor!"  We are not sure if it was the flavor or the bees chasing him as he ate it but it was not the highlight of his day.  I did let him "wade" in the beach area and he successfully got drenched from head to toe...good thing I had a change of clothes in the car.  He had a ton of fun so that is what counts!  We were glad Meme could join us on our adventure!
