Great Lake Day

Saturday we took the boat out and Landon got to ride in the tube all by himself for the first time. He has ridden many times with us, but never by himself...he thought he was big stuff and kept wanting to do it again and again! He wanted to go faster but he must wait to get older to do that! He loves being out in the boat and that makes Mommy and Daddy very happy. :)

Video of Landon on the tube :)

Laughing hysterically...

Cousins - Landon and Rylen

When Landon and I were in the Valley we were able to get his picture taken with his cousin Rylen. They did such a good job for the photographer! Landon is 2 1/2 and Rylen is 2 1/2 months.

Fun in the Sun

Schlitterbahn Slide Fun

Do you see Landon standing with Shamu?!?! Ha Ha! Neither do I!! He loves Shamu and gets so excited when he spots him and waves like crazy BUT he refuses to stand by him or have his wagon wheeled up right by him.

Landon checking out the dolphins (with Denise and Abby behind him). The dolphins were such little show offs!

Tammy, Elli, Landon and I at the wave pool

After 8 hours at Sea World this is how Landon got wheeled to the car...

Landon and I went to Schlitterbahn twice last week, we are so sad that it was the last full week that it will be open until next season. We have really enjoyed our time there this summer. Landon loves the water and has NO fear of it at all, which is good and bad! We will still make it there a few times on the weekends before they close for good, but you just can't beat the non-crowded weekdays!

Friday we headed to Sea World with our friends Denise and Abby. We were "tourists" and hit just about every show, visited the aquarium, dolphin pool and penguin area. After lunch, Tammy and Elli joined in on the fun and we made our way to the water park. It was so nice to cool off after a hot morning/afternoon. We had a fun time and are already looking forward to our next trip to see Shamu and his friends! :)

First Time Off the Diving Board!

We took Landon to the pool on Sunday and introduced him to the diving board...he LOVED it! After every jump he would say, "again" immediately after he came up from the water.

Port Isabel Fun

Landon on the dolphin...he rode this many times!

Love this picture of him!

Fun times with the dump truck :)

BIG smile while we ate pizza!

His treat for doing SO well at pictures!

Our sweet niece~Rylen

Landon loves that Uncle Ryan and Aunt Lauren's house has an elevator!

Uncle Ryan's State Record Mahi Mahi that he had mounted...this was a favorite of Landon's as well!

Landon and I had a great time visiting family and friends in Port Isabel. It was a different trip for him because he could not get in the water for the 1st part of the week due to the staple in his head...we found many out of water adventures though! Then the second part of the week was filled with tournament fun and a sickness. Never a dull moment with a kiddo. Landon ended the trip by crashing the golf cart into Meme and Pa's garage door...good thing he was not under my care at the time!!! He was not hurt at all by the "crash" but it did scare him. He loves talking about it now...silly boy! :) I did not get any pictures of the event because it happened minutes before we left their house to head back home. Thanks for a fun trip Pa and Meme!

Landon's First Fishing Tournament ~ TIFT

Pa and Landon heading out to catch some BIG ones!

Landon with his favorite catch...catfish! He loved this fish!

Pa taking the hook out of the perch's mouth

Landon with his first stringer...perch and catfish.

Landon and Pa after the second day...perch and mangrove snapper!

Showing off his catch :)

Landon entered his first tournament last weekend...Texas International Fishing Tournament and caught some perch, a catfish and a mangrove snapper! Pa was his captain on the boat "Pa's Catch!" TIFT is a special tournament in our family, Landon is the 4th generation to fish in it. My grandparents (my mom's parents) used to fish in it every year and each won Grand Champion Bay Division, my dad, brother and I have fished it as well. We hope to make this a yearly tradition for Landon. He loves fish and has caught on to the fishing thing quite well too. Thanks Pa...already looking forward to next year! :)

Coffee Table + Head = 1 Staple

Waiting for the Dr.

Still waiting...having a little snack to pass the time!

The staple ~Day it was removed!

The day we left Kansas, Landon climbed on the piano bench to play a few tunes (something he had done ALL week)...in the process he fell back and hit the coffee table. I was aware that heads can bleed, but to see your own child's head bleed like crazy is a little unsettling. We got him in the tub to rinse all the blood off and assess the situation. After investigation we decided to take him to urgent care. They cleaned it up really well and put one staple in his head and one in his stuffed animal so that we could see what it looked like. Landon is one tough boy...he cried right after he hit his head but then he was completely fine and acted as if nothing had happened. The Dr. and nurse were even shocked/surprised that he did not cry or fight the cleaning/stapling process. We took him in one week later and had it removed and all is well!

Sedgwick County Zoo

Landon hugging a penguin :)

Milking a cow and having lots of fun doing it!

Landon ~ Grandma ~ Papa

Cousin Fun...aren't they great lil' posers?!?!

While we were in Kansas we went to the zoo with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Tina, Bethany, Abby, Cameron and Christopher. The kids had such a fun time feeding the animals in the farm, and looking at all the other animals. It was such a cool day so all the big animals were out and moving quite a bit. Before we left for the zoo I asked Landon what he wanted to see and he told me, "parrots, snakes and lions!" He is a lucky boy because he got to see all three plus tons more! We finished off the day with a trip to McDonalds...Thanks Papa and Grandma! The kiddos LOVED their Happy Meals with the beanie babies. :)
