Runnin' around with my friend Chase

Good Bye Y'all!

We went to my parents house in Port Isabel for Christmas this year...a FUN time was had by all! Landon totally got the concept of unwrapping presents and he is loves his new toys! He had a great time with MeMe and Pa. MeMe made him scrambled eggs every morning, gave him sweets when we were not looking and let him play with her cell phone (something we do not let him do)! Pa took Landon on golf cart rides, let Landon wear his favorite hat and gave up his cell phone too! Landon is obsessed with phones! We enjoyed playing the Wii, spending time together, eating out, going on a boat ride and playing with Landon's new toys! This was such a great Christmas...Landon brought extra joy to it!

Buda Fest

Landon, Grace and Maddie at the Parade

Landon LOVING Santa!

Santa trying to butter Landon up with a candy cane...nice try!!

Having fun on a carnival ride

Landon and I went with my friend, Bridgette, to Buda Fest with her girls Grace and Maddie. We started off the morning watching the parade, which was fun. The kiddos sat in the wagon and waved to all the people passing by and ran for the candy when it was thrown out. Then we rushed to Santa and Mrs. Claus' picture taking station, but they were "feeding the reindeer" so we had to wait a bit until they arrived. Landon loved this visit with Santa as much as he did the visit a few weeks ago!! I thought that he would do better since Mrs. Claus was there, but not quite...maybe next year! We were then off to the carnival rides. We had a great day and it was so nice to catch up with an old friend and see the kiddos interact with each other.

Landon's First Week of Mother's Day Out

Landon started going to Wee Care @ First on Tuesday. He did so great the first day...walked right in and started playing, they even said he went right to sleep on his mat without having to be patted on his back or anything! He was not so sure about getting dropped off today, but once he got in his class he started playing and decided that "school" is pretty fun! We think this will be really good for his socialization and it will let Mommy get some things done too! We are so happy that he is enjoying himself...it makes it a lot easier to leave him.

Thanksgiving in Goliad

Rowan and Landon

Playing with minnows, or "ish" as Landon calls them

Loving the go cart

Looking cool in Cousin Lara's glasses

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year...surrounded by LOTS of family and LOTS of love! Brian and I met my parents at their place in Goliad along with my cousin, Tato (AKA Mary Ann) and her family. We celebrated Thanksgiving at another cousins ranch called LaPaHa (named after their daughters...Lara, Paxton and Haley). They had fried some yummy turkeys and baked awesome pies and then all the guests brought sides to share. The food was delicious! We enjoyed hanging out, talking with family and friends and relaxing on a beautiful day! Landon and his cousin, Rowan, had a blast together! Thanks for having us over at your place Van Klompenburg Family!

The next day, my Mom, Tato and I left the house at 5 in the morning to do some Black Friday shopping. Cousin Sue joined us for part of the adventure and we actually got some really good deals and it was not too crazy. Target was probably the busiest place we went, but we were also there right when it opened. We had some fun "girl" time while the little boys stayed home with their Daddy's.

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Tree Lighting

Kaila and Landon

Breakfast with Santa ~ Saying "CHEESE" between bites!

So happy because Santa is in the other room!!!

The biggest sugar cookie I have ever seen ~ Landon and I decorated it together!

It is not even Thanksgiving yet and we have already been to two Christmas events...New Braunfels Downtown Tree Lighting and Breakfast With Santa! Landon has a love-hate relationship with Santa. He likes to wave at him and smile at him from afar but has no intentions of sitting nicely on his lap and telling him what he wants for Christmas. I will have to post the picture as soon as I get it scanned.

Landon's Pre-Hair Cut Do

About to do one of his favorite things...throw me a kiss!

Having fun with his toys

The night we took Landon to get his hair cut I styled it into a mohawk. He seemed to like it and enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror. I will post some new hair cut pictures soon!

Family Fun Time at the Park

Landon saying "fish...glub, glub, glub" as he looks at the fish on Daddy's shirt!

Wood Ducks...there were tons out and their feathers are just so pretty!

Brian, Landon and I went to the park to feed the ducks, but we were also greeted by geese, squirrels, and black birds. Landon loves to do this, but he sometimes thinks he needs to eat the bread too. We take stale bread to feed to them which isn't technically bad for him but it can't taste that good I don't think. We then walked around and explored other parts of the park. It was a very nice outing on a beautiful day!

Weekend in Robstown

The boys favorite part of the weekend

Landon and Rowan at the Restaurant

Mr. Friendly waving to Grammy up in the bleachers

Landon and I went to Robstown last weekend and met up with my mom, sister-in-law, aunts and cousins. This is a yearly tradition for us and we make fun memories together. We hit The Peddler Show each day and eat good food in the evening! We have matching shirts and called the event EST Fest even though we had 2 boys come along this time. Landon is for sure not invited back next year. Shopping is not his thing, so he will be hunting with his Daddy next year!

Our Little Trooper

Sporting a cool hospital gown and coloring

Just waking up from anesthesia

Surgery isn't too bad if it results in a tasty popsicle!

Landon had his adenoids removed and ear tubes put in on Thursday morning. He was so great about it...we were proud of our lil' guy. The liquid "cocktail" that was supposed to make him drowsy made him quite goofy, which made it easier to leave him because he was in his own happy world!! He did very well and came out of the anesthesia very groggy, but excited that he got to drink some juice! He would have been perfectly fine sleeping in the recovery room all morning. He was not quite himself most of the day, but by that evening he was ready to go!

Meet Landon's New Cousin, Elliana!

Brian's sister, Tammy, had a beautiful baby girl named Elliana Joy on October 30th! We are so excited for her and Paul!

Halloween Night

We hung out with our friends on Halloween night. Landon had a lot of fun playing with William and Sydney was such a great helper while we walked to a few houses Trick-or-Treating. He loved seeing all the dogs in the neighborhood more than anything else. Poor thing, still has not been given a piece of candy. What he doesn't know, won't hurt him, right?!?! We even saw Sarah Palin...she was looking for Joe the Plumber!

Fun Times in Dallas

Landon, Alex and Reaganne

Alex and Landon

Landon Enjoying the Slide

Brian, Landon and I went to Dallas for the weekend to see Greg, Brian's best friend from high school, and his family. We had a great time and it was nice to watch the kids play and interact with each other. Their oldest daughter, Alex, was so great with Landon ...perfect Mommy Helper! Reaganne, their two year old, and Landon had a great time playing in the wagon, swinging and getting soaked with bubbles! They also have a precious little 6 week old son named Dylan. On Saturday, another one of Brian's friends from high school, Doug, and his family came over and it was nice to hang out, eat yummy fajitas and just relax! Sunday we went to Joe's Crab Shack which had a playground for the kiddos...that was fantastic!

San Antonio "BOO"tanical Gardens

Landon planting his pansie

One of Landon's obsessions is ducks...whatever has wings and a beak is a "duck" to him! So, he was really excited about feeding, petting and watching them.

Sunday, Landon and I went to the the BOOtanical Festival with our friends Jessica and Charli. They had several booths set up for the kids to do arts and crafts and they also had an area where you could plant a pansie. This was Landon's favorite since he got to play in dirt! There were also several educational stations too. This will be a must do event every October.

Weekend Highlights

We started off the weekend at our local fire station with Kinder Moms (one of my mom groups) and Landon could not have been more excited. He loved the big trucks! They let the little ones get in and look around and explore and he did not want to get out. The fireman that was helping out felt sorry for him because I took him out crying so he asked if he could put him back in...what a softy! Landon was all about that and hung out in the truck for a long while!

Go Spurs Go!
Brian, Landon and I had the opportunity to attend a Spurs game on Friday night! Our friends have season passes and they were going to be out of town, so they gave us their tickets for the game! Thanks Denise and Dan. We had an awesome time! It was so great seeing the game in person!

Saturday we went to a Fall Festival and Landon's favorite thing was the barrel train! He would have stayed on it ALL afternoon. The driver was very generous and gave extra long rides so that was a good thing!

"Mom, if you did not strap me in so tight I could honk this horn a little easier!"
