McKenzie is 7 months old...

Look how long she is...

Little Miss Flexible

SO happy to see Bro Bro come in her room!

McKenzie decided to let me know that the photo shoot is over!

Good thing she is happy most of the time because when she gets mad she makes sure everyone knows how she feels!  If you look closely you can see her 1st tooth!

McKenzie you...

- went on your longest road trip (to Kansas to see G-Ma and Papa) AND you did amazingly well!  You are such a great traveler!
- got your 1st hair cut!  Mommy and Daddy decided your mohawk needed to be trimmed!
- got your 1st tooth on May 13th!
- are still not a huge fan of solid food but I can always get you to eat breakfast (some sort of fruit mixed with oatmeal)!
-  still wear 3-6 month clothes and you can wear some 6-9 month size.
- are still in a size 2 diaper!
- went to Schlitterbahn for the 1st time!
- went to Port Aransas for the 1st time!  You loved hangin out on the beach BUT you did not like the waves crashing at your feet.
- are still very happy and smile a lot!
- still love to eat your feet!
- said Momma for the 1st time and we are fairly certain you really meant me and it was not just a random sound!

Landon's GIGANTIC Catch

Soooo proud! :)

One of Landon's greatest past times is...fishing!  He will ask to go fishing or hunting just about every weekend!  We have found a spot that always delivers either a catfish or a perch, so if we do not have time to get the boat out, or we just want to satisfy his fishing habit we head to a special little dock!  Landon was fishing all by himself as Brian and I looked on and all of the sudden his pole went down and his reel was "singing"...Landon was so excited!  As he was reeling in his fish he informed us it was like fighting an offshore fish!  He had to tire it out and once he got it up to the dock, Brian had to lean over and bring it up.  We were so worried about it getting off the hook before we got it on land.  This is so far the largest fish he has ever caught...31 inch Carp!  We are not sure of the weight but it was pretty heavy.  Landon has not stopped talking about this amazing catch!  He now thinks he is ready for offshore fishing BUT Uncle Ryan told him he has to lose half his baby teeth before he takes him into the deep sea!

McKenzie enjoyed the splash pad!

She is glad she gets to tag along with her big bro!

Two of the moms from Landon's preschool hosted an end of the year party for all the preschoolers.  The kiddos had a blast!  Some of them will be together next year for kinder, but the rest are heading to different schools.  I am sure we will run into each other at Schlitterbahn throughout the summer!  Let the summer begin!

Gymnastics

Landon and Coach Michael

Jacob, McKenzie and Landon

McKenzie supported her brother in the stands during each practice! She is anxiously awaiting her turn in the gym!

Landon enjoyed taking gymnastics for a couple of months.  We are taking the summer off so we can be free to go out of town, attend VBS, participate in swim lessons, etc. He enjoyed every minute with Coach Michael  and practices his new skills all over the place!

Last Day of Preschool!

Ready for his LAST day of preschool...he is so exctied about Kindergarten!

Preparing to cast his pole for the talent show!

His "hookless" lure landed on a grandmother's head!

Singing a fishing song!

It was a GREAT year with Mrs. Griscom!

Landon completed his FINAL day of preschool and is now officially a Kindergartner!  He had an AWESOME last year of preschool and learned so much!  The preschool class had a talent show on the last day and it was so FUN to watch.  There were singers, dancers, gymnasts, hula hoopers, magicians, joke tellers and basket ball dribblers!  I must say there were some pretty talented  4 and 5 year olds!  I have some mixed emotions about my lil' guy starting Kinder in just a few months!  I am so happy for him because he loves school so much and he is eager to learn new things all the time, but at the same time it is hard to watch him grow up so fast!  I am definitely embracing the moments and enjoying these young years, but I wish they would slow down just a bit!  Congrats Landon on a GREAT year and I look forward to watching you soar in the years ahead!

Landon has been taking gymnastics the last 3 months, and on Saturday they had their annual Olympics!  It was a mighty cute event to watch.  He LOVES gymnastics and he was super excited about receiving a medal!  They participated in six rotations and then had closing ceremonies at the end.  Dad, Mom and McKenzie were his biggest fans and cheered him on all the way!

Love this picture!

The day Meme left...

Landon performed in his last program as a Pre-K student.  I must admit that tears were in my eyes as he entered the room and made his way to the stage.  I cannot believe my baby boy is 5 and will be going to Kindergarten next year.  He has grown up so much and we are so proud of the little man he is becoming right before our eyes!  He sang all the songs (Bible songs) very well and did all the hand motions!  He really liked the songs that were chosen for this program and has been singing them the last few months at home!  Meme came up to watch him and he was so excited to have her in the audience.  Thanks for coming Meme!  We ended the night with a special dinner at Carinos!
