Salt Mine

Brian's parents kept the little ones while the "Big Kids" went 650 ft. below the Earth's surface to see where our salt comes from. It was very interesting. There are also many important documents, films and secret formulas hidden down there. We had to wear the fashionable hats that you see!! We all had a GREAT time!

First Time in the Snow

Landon got to experience snow for the first time while we were in Kansas celebrating Christmas! He loved it! I thought he would scream when he touched it, but he enjoyed playing in it and would have played longer if we would have let him. He even ate some snow. He was not too sure about that.

The Infamous Santa Outfit

Thanks to Landon's Aunt Tammy, he gets to wear a Santa outfit this Christmas. It took 7 Wal-Marts to find one in his size!! My Mom and I went to a total of 6 in Texas. Then I got THE call (from Denver, CO) - "There has been a Santa outfit sighting..." YIPPEE! I was SOOO excited. Landon and I went to check the mail recently and Ta Dah...it was there!!! Of course I had to open the package and put the hat on right away. I will post pictures of him in the full suit later. Thanks for your help Tammy!

At The Park

Landon and I went to the park with a friend and her son last week. This was one of my favorite pictures from that day.

Fun Times With Cousin Rowan

Mary Ann, Rowan, Landon and I met to do some Christmas shopping and then we went to Red Robin to eat! Yum...they have FABULOUS burgers!! It had to be the craziest dinner out I have had since having Landon!! I will not go into all the details, but basically it was a circus. I do not think the waiter ever thought we were going to order!! Every time he came to our table one of us was gone. It was one of those "had to be there moments" to get the humor!! For those of you that have never been to Red Robin they have this HUGE robin looking mascot that comes to the tables with children!! Landon was curious and wanted to look at the robin, but he did not want the robin to look at him!! It was hilarious. We did get some good pictures though...Landon LOVES the camera.

Look at me...I am a BIG boy!

Landon's 1st Christmas Present

Landon was so excited...he got to open his first Christmas present while we were down in the Valley! When we arrived at my parents there was a package in our room just for our Little Guy from his surrogate Gramma Peggy and Gary. We let him open it while she was at the house and it was so much fun. He really liked the curly ribbon part of the wrapping. I know you are all in suspense and want to know just what he got, so I will tell you...an Amazing Animals Choo Choo Train. Landon LOVES it. There are three different areas that you push to hear music or animal sounds and it moves across the floor so that he can chase after it! His favorite animal is the monkey. I think it's because it is the perfect size for his little hands. Thanks Peggy and Gary!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went down to the Valley for Thanksgiving this year. We had our big dinner at Aunt Doris' house. All the food was very yummy! Landon enjoyed green beans and mashed potatoes! He also got to play with his cousins. I think he had a GREAT 1st Thanksgiving!

Lights - Camera - Action

Brian got the opportunity to drive boats for an upcoming movie, The Kings of Appletown. The main star is Victoria Justice who has starred in several Nickelodeon shows. Another prominent actor is James Victor who is known most for his work in Zoro. The movie is produced by Bobby Moresco who won an Academy Award for the movie Crash and helped produce the movie Million Dollar Baby.

Brian will possibly be seen in some scenes in a boat or on a jet ski, but most of the time he is hiding in the boat with the main actors. He would get the boat in place or going in the right direction and then hide so that the cameras could not see him and everyone would think that James Victor was driving. He met a lot of interesting people and said it was quite the experience.

Getting My Zzzzzzzzz's!

Pa's Visit

Pa came to visit Landon on his way home from Elk hunting in Colorado. If he lets his facial hair grow some more he can be Santa!! Landon had a good time playing with Pa.

Look at my new friend...isn't she soooo cute?

Landon meeting his new friend Calli (Laura Duncan's daughter). He was so excited to be around her. She made him laugh and smile a lot!

Landon and Kaila

Landon got to play at his friend Kaila's new house. He loved the playing with the pumpkins. Kaila kept Landon very busy inside. He would get going in one direction and she would run the other way. They went up and down the hallway. He had one of his best naps after we left their house. We tried to get a picture of the two of them and since Landon was sitting in Kaila's chair she sat on him. It was very funny!

Hunting Buddies

Landon and his friend William got dressed in their camo to attend a Buck Fever Event. They can't wait until they are a little bigger so they can participate in all the FUN activities.

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch. Landon fell asleep on the way there, so we had to wake him up to enjoy the adventure. There is so much for a little one to experience in their first year. He explored all the new sights and textures. He was not too sure about all of it but he sure had a lot to say when we got back in the car so I am thinking he liked it. He is a great babbler.

Lake McQueeney

On Sunday we took the boat out for a little cruise. Landon was not so sure at first. Now that he is more mobile he does not like how confining the life jacket is. Once we got going he started to enjoy the breeze blowing in his face. He had FUN driving the boat with his Daddy!

Gruene

On Saturday Landon and I met Aunt Doris, Cousin Tato and Cousin Rowan in Gruene. We had a great lunch at The Riverhouse Tearoom. We sat outside by the wooded area and got to watch a family of deer as we ate and talked. It was really nice. We then drug the little guys all over Gruene. We strolled through Market Days, went in and out of shops, ate ice cream and listened to music at Gruene Hall. Cousins James and Sue met us for dinner at Gruene River Grill. A GREAT time was had by all! It was nice catching up with everyone.

Fall Pictures

I took Landon to a studio on Friday to have some Fall pictures taken. I thought it would be a quick appointment and we would be in and out because he LOVES to have his picture taken. Well...as we walked up to the house (the studio) and the door opened he began to cry.:( He had a huge meltdown. One like I have never seen before. I am not sure what spooked him but it took a long time for him to feel okay in the setting. The photographer was fabulous and really worked with us. We were finally done an hour and a half later. By the time Landon was content he became tired so we did not get his typical "cheeser" pictures. I am attaching the link so you can take a look if you would like.

CHEESER

When Landon sees the camera or hears the noise that it makes when I turn it on these are the faces I get! He is our Little Cheeser!!

Landon Likes To "Read"

Magazines are very entertaining to Landon. He would read 'em and eat 'em if I let him. If he has his pacifier in he won't let much take the place of that.

Playing with Grandpa and Making One of My Funny Faces
