You've Got Mail!

Landon receives Animal Baby in the mail thanks to his Kansas cousins! Well, I picked our mail up from the cluster box and passed his mail back to him. When we got home and I opened the door to get him out this is what I saw! I was so excited to see him "reading" his book. I grabbed my camera and got a few shots of the moment. The teacher in me LOVED seeing this!

We celebrated Rowan's 1st Birthday yesterday! He had a party on his real birthday at South Padre Island, but on Sunday he got to party with his friends and family from San Antonio. All the kids had a great time playing in the water. Happy Birthday Rowan!

Congratulations Cho Ro!

As most of you know my brother is an avid hunter and fisherman. He loves the great outdoors and all it has to offer. Well, over the weekend he caught a 65.7 lb. Dolphin! It is pending state record trumping the current record set in 1989. Way to go! We are so excited for you!

Party! Party! Party!

The title says it all! We attended three parties on Saturday...two Birthday parties and one House Warming party. Landon had a blast everywhere we went. He loves to be on the move and see new things and explore. He also got to see some of his friends. It is so funny to see him react to a little one when he recognizes them...he gets excited and makes happy noises!

Sorry, no pictures of the last party. This was at Mike and Gay's new house. They used to be our neighbors but they moved to a new house on the other side of town and we are really sad about that because they were FANTASTIC neighbors. They have a beautiful new home though.

One thing is for sure...
3 parties + a 30 minute nap in the car seat = 1 LONG cranky night
Nobody in the Yutzy household got much sleep Saturday night because we had an over tired little boy. It has been a work in progress getting everything back in check today. It was a great Saturday though, so the only thing I would do differently next time is not keep him out so late after a CHEAP nap. First Time Mommy Mistake...Live and Learn!

On Father's Day we started out at Pica Taco for some good breakfast and then Landon and Brian took a nap. Later that day my Mom, Ryan, Lauren, Brian, Landon and I went to the lake. It was such a nice day. We anchored the boat and hung out in the water. Then I wakeboarded and Ryan went on the knee board. Ryan had not done that in at least 10 years so it was a blast from the past for him! I had not been on a wakeboard since the Sunday before I found out I was pregnant with Landon. I did not get nearly as sore as I thought I would. We ended the day eating at the Ski Lodge. Poor Landon was SOOOO tired, but he was a trooper and hung with us until well past his usual bedtime.

More Outside FUN

Landon absolutely loves to be outdoors. We have to spell out the word outside (unless we are ready to go out) because if he hears it he instantly runs to the back door and is ready to go out! We have taught him some sign language and one of the cutest things he does is stand at the back door and make the signs for "outside" and "please". He is so stinkin' sweet about it, you just can't resist!

Cousins

Cousin Rowan turned ONE on June 6th and we helped him celebrate his big day at the beach! He devoured his smash cake...that was very fun to watch. We had a nice evening being around friends and family.
