One last catch before we left to come back home!
Landon won the Cousin Fishing Tournament for the 3rd year in row! Way to go Landon!
Every Easter we have a Cousin Reunion. It has been held in various locations but since 1998 it has been at my parent's place in Goliad. Every Friday we head to Cuero to shop at the little store/boutiques, we eat lunch at Rosie's and then we make one last grocery run at HEB. Friday night we went to the LaPaHa Ranch and and had burgers, hotdogs and smores! All the kids enjoyed fishing in the pond. We left right after it got dark because the mosquitos started to emerge! Thanks for having us VK's! Saturday morning we got the kiddos to Goliad for the annual egg hunt that is always followed with a little more shopping and a snack at The Blue Quail (They have the BEST cream of jalapeno soup!) We did not stay in town long because I had to get Landon back so he could start fishing...he had a title to defend! He ended up winning the the tournament with a 16 inch large mouth bass! He caught several but that was the biggest of the day! He will tell you that he, "casted, hooked it and reeled it in all by myself!" We are so very proud of our fisherman! We also enjoy a great lunch with the entire family, had a confetti egg fight, destroyed a pinata, and ended the evening with some awesome grilled shrimp! This was McKenzie's first time at the ranch and her first Easter...she was definitely a trooper!
So glad we have this every year. I enjoy seeing our extended family members and I am glad our children will grow up knowing all of their cousins!
