Preschool Christmas Program

Waving to us before they started singing!

Meme, Pa and Landon

Landon and Mommy
(Daddy could not make it but we made sure to video it so he could watch it later!)

Landon participated in his first Christmas program last week.  He sang 5 songs in all and did such a great job.  He has grown up so fast and I can hardly believe that he is old enough to be performing!  My parents were able to come up and watch him and he was very excited about that.  We were all treated to sandwiches and cookies after the performance!  Landon made sure to get a cookie first...guess he thought he deserved it for a job well done! :)

~Gingerbread House Fun~

Decorating the tree...concentrating very hard.  :)

Working on Santa!

Meme helping too!

Landon's favorite part...getting messy!

Total boy...the messier the better!

Finished product :)

Landon insisted that ALL the peppermints go on the back of the house!

One of our Advent activities was to decorate a gingerbread house. (This happened to be on the same day as Buda Fest as you can see that Landon is still sporting his face painting!).  Landon LOVED this entire process.  He put a lot of time into this creation and actually put more candy on than he ate...that is a plus!  Meme got to be here for this and she was a big help making sure we had icing all over the walls so Landon could put candies ALL over the place!    We will definitely be doing this every year.  :)

Meme, Landon and Me

Buda Fest is a yearly tradition for us and we always have a great time.  We meet my dear friend Bridgette and her kiddos and we make a day out of it!  This year my mom was in town so it was fun to have her join us on our adventure!  We start the morning off watching the parade and this year Santa rode in with longhorn horns attached to the front of the car...only in Texas would this happen!  All the kiddos got their face painted, they rode some fun carnival rides and got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas!  Always a nice event that we look forward to every year!

Christmas with the Yutzys

All the cousins :)

Landon was super excited about this packaging..Thanks Aunt Tina for the "buck" box!

Acting like he is a buck!

Papa and G-Ma

So happy about seeing a rocket ship!

Landon and Daddy playing with his new toy!

Now he has a measuring tape just like Daddy!

Lunch was not being served fast enough for Elli!

Eating Christmas dinner outside...so nice!

Aunt Tammy got all the boys Cars costumes and they enjoyed playing in them!

We celebrated Christmas with Brian's side of the family the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  G-Ma read the Christmas story...a kid friendly version from a great picture book that kept all the kiddos attention and then we opened us presents and stockings and had fun the rest of the day playing with all the new stuff!  A "rocket ship" was on the top of Landon's wish list and he was so excited to receive it from his grandparents!  He also got Toy Story pajamas (which was on his wish list as well), a CD, a Toy Story crashing game (he loves to crash things!), stamps (which he could play with all day!) and some other FUN things that brighten up a 3 year olds day!  It was great celebrating with everyone and spending lots of quality time together.  The cousins had so much fun together...Landon is still talking about the exciting time he had with them!  Thanks Houge family for hosting a fabulous Christmas Celebration!

Play- Doh time!

All the grandkids with the grandparents! :)

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Brian's side of the family.  His parents and brother (and family) came down from Kansas and his sister that lives in San Antonio had us all over for the big feast.  We all shared cooking duites...makes it much easier that way!  Landon LOVED playing with all of  his cousins.  It was fun watching them interact as well.  They rode bikes, scooters, a motorized jeep, ran around like crazy kiddos and also enjoyed their time indoors!  It was nice for the adults to catch up as well...I feel old calling myself an adult?!?  Just exactly when did I outgrow the "kid's table"?!  So crazy to think that I now have a kiddo old enough to sit at the "kid's table" all by himself.  Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks Houge Family for having us all over to your home! :)

Decorating sugar cookies

Such a happy boy...

Singing at the church dinner...he did a great job!

I know it is not even Thanksgiving yet but the holiday festivities have already began in New Braunfels! Santa rides into town the Friday before Thanksgiving every year and downtown NB is lit up about 30 minutes after dark.  Landon got to watch the lights be put up all last week on our way to his school each day, so he was super excited to see the lights get turned on...I think he enjoyed running around the circle with his friends the most!

The next morning Landon got to eat breakfast with Santa.  He could not wait to sit on Santa's lap and tell him the 3 things on his wish list...a train table, a rocket ship and a white truck with a horse trailer and horses!  Lots of his friends attended the breakfast as well...friends always make it more fun!

We have many more fun events planned for the month of December.  Christmas is a great time of year...kiddos seem to make it even better!

Fisherman Hunter Yutzy

Ready for a deer to make its appearance...not sure one will with an orange tipped barrel sticking out the window and a juice box on the windowsill but he is ready if it does!  They were fortunate, despite all the noise, to see two deer that Landon claims title to "shooting!"

Caught some big sunfish!

First time shooting a real gun...Mountain Dew cans took a beating!

Showing off the holes in his cans...he was so proud of himself!

He insisted on fishing without a shirt because, "That is how Uncle Ryan fishes!"

The title is what Landon would like to change his name to and I am not kidding!  We do at times call him Fisherman Yutzy (at his request) because, well you choose your battles, right...but it will not be officially changed on the birth certificate!  Landon spent the weekend with Daddy, Pa and some other guys at the ranch.  He had the time of his life...hunting in a blind, riding the gator, fishing, shooting real and pretend guns and whatever else you do at ranches with guys!  I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for this adventure.  Landon loved it and cannot wait to go back!
