Fishing Weekend ~ White Bass and Fun Fish 2011

Fishing is hard work!

Brian's birthday was on Saturday and he really wanted to go fishing, so off to Canyon Lake we went.  Landon thought it was his birthday because he loves fishing just as much as his Daddy!  This was Landon's 1st time to go white bass fishing and he is hooked!  We caught some good ones right away and they put on a good fight for a 4 year old!  We will definitely be going back this weekend!

Sunday, was the 2nd Annual W.O.R.D Fishing tournament put on for kiddos.  They stock the river with 3,500 rainbow trout and there are lil' anglers everywhere.  Landon would run each fish he caught up to the game warden so it could be measured.  His largest one of the day was 10 inches.  They received a medal for participation and he wore it proudly to school on Tuesday so he could show his teacher, Ms. Bobbi!

This was a dream weekend for Landon and we hope Daddy had a fabulous birthday!

Looks like Brian has a huge smile and a wonderful birthday! Happy Birthday, bro! I have to think back to Landon's lil' onesie that you gave to Brian way back when that said "lil' fishing buddy"...how true:)

What a fun weekend! Landon will have to teach Cameron and Christopher how to fish one of these days!
