We sure have enjoyed the arrival of our sweet baby girl!  Brian had to go out of town on business shortly after McKnenzie was born so Meme came to the rescue and stayed with us for a little over two weeks.  It sure made the transition so much easier!  We are very thankful that she was here with us.  Landon loved having her as a roommate and playmate and I enjoyed her company as well as the extra set of hands!  Thanks for all you did while you were here Meme!

Sleepovers! :)

Thanks Alice for sending me this picture...boys enjoying hotdogs by the fire!

off to dreamland...comforting to see this sweet picture from my hospital bed! :)

Ready for sleepover #2!

Packed and ready to go!

Landon went on his VERY 1st sleepover the night before McKenzie was born.  It was due time to "cut the cord" since baby number two was about to arrive!  Landon stayed with his good buddy from preschool, Jacob, and he did so well!  I knew he was in good hands, so I was at ease but it is still such a milestone and it is hard to watch your lil' ones grow up right before your eyes!  Jacob lives in the country, therefor Landon was completely in his element.  He is an outdoors boy and loved exploring on their land, making smore's and hunting for sticks for the fire!  Ms. Alice surprised the boys with chocolate iced donuts with sprinkles in the morning and that was a HUGE hit!  Friday afternoon, Alice told Landon that his baby sister was not here just yet and he said, "I might just have to stay here a few more nights!"  He could have missed us just a little! ;)  Miss McKenzie came later that afternoon so his wish was not granted, but I am glad he had a blast on his first sleepover!

He went on another sleepover a week later at his friend, Max's house.  They went to the children's museum in Halloween costumes to meet Scooby and watch a scooby movie that night and ate Chick-Fil-A for supper.  Ms. Sara met us at soccer in the morning and Landon told us all about his latest sleepover adventure!  Again, he had a fabulous time!  He is liking this sleepover thing a lot!

We are blessed to have such good friends that have helped Landon with the transition into Big Brotherhood!

Happy Halloween!

Luke Skywalker ready to protect his lil' sis!

Landon AKA - "Luke" ~ 4 years, 9 months

McKenzie - our lil' owlet ~ 1 week, 3 days

The kiddos are ready to hit the neighborhood!

Landon picked this design out...sure wish he would have picked the easy one out, but this made him so happy!

This was our first "holiday" with two kiddos!  It went quite well and we spread out the cheer throughout the week!  Landon's new obsession is Star Wars, so he dressed as Luke Skywalker and McKenzie was an owl!  Her hat was quite large but we were able to still get a few pictures...at least it will fit her when it is actually cold here in NB!  Landon got to dress up for preschool and they walked in a little parade.  Meme watched this while I stayed home with McKenzie.  Halloween night, Landon and I headed to a friend's house, where he got to go house to house and trick or treat!  He loaded up on lots of good stuff and the adults have sure enjoyed sneaking a few pieces here and there!  Landon had been asking since August to carve a pumpkin (since Halloween stuff comes out so stinkin' early) and I kept telling him that we had to wait until it got closer to Halloween or it would rot.  Well, Halloween snuck up on us since we had a newborn and before I knew it the day was here and we had not carved a pumpkin...good thing Landon was just as happy carving it November 1st as he would have been a few days earlier!  We also had a little fun with Mommy's belly and we let Landon paint my baby belly as a Jack-O-Lantern.  Landon got a little help from Daddy but he did a lot of it on his own.  Hope everyone else had a Spooktacular Day!

Introducing McKenzie Ann

Off to the hospital...

Proud mommy and her baby girl :)

So excited to be a Big Brother!

Daddy and his girl :)

Flowers from my parents - 34 years ago this cat was sent to my mom when I was born and she saved it and had an arrangement sent to me!  Very special!

Hanging out in the hospital room with Mommy!  If I remember right it was about 3 a.m.!

First Family of Four Photo!

Heading home...maybe she was worried about what was yet to come.  She settled down quickly and did not make a peep all the way home!

We welcomed our baby girl, McKenzie Ann, on Friday, October 21st!  She was born at 3:38 p.m., weighed in at 6 lbs., 14 ozs. and measured 20 3/4 inches.  She has a head full of beautiful brown hair.  We are all over the moon excited about her arrival.  Landon is a very proud BIG brother and already extremely protective of his baby sister.  It is so sweet to watch him interact with her.  She completes our family, and we are looking forward to all the adventures ahead of us as a family of four!

In August, some of my sweet friends hosted a shower for a baby girl on the way!  It was so much fun getting together with so many friends and celebrating the upcoming arrival our our sweet baby!  They had some amazing food...I can still taste the cake balls, sugar cookies and cinamon rolls~YUM!  We are so appreciative of all the great things we got for our baby!  Thanks Samantha, Kim, Katy and Valerie for such an AWESOME shower!

Me with the Hostesses - Sara and Jana

37 weeks and 3 days  :)

In October, I was blessed to have another shower hosted by two more great friends!  This shower was held at lunch time with all my friends from Landon's preschool!  They had my favorite lunch items...chicken salad, egg salad, chips with ranch and a tasty eclair dessert!  I cannot forget the drink - rootbeer!  Every prego girl needs her rootbeer!  It was nice to have a little downtime and catch up while all our kiddos were at school.  I received more great things for our baby girl and some restaurant gift cards to use when things are so crazy at the beginiing!  We are set, and she is welcome to make her debut at any time!  Thanks Sara and Jana for hosting a FANTASTIC shower!
