Halloween Appetizer

Spider Web Dip

Baked Flour Tortilla Chips

Tonight I have my monthly MOPS meeting and our group is in charge of bringing the snacks. We decided to go with the Halloween theme since it is October. I wanted to share my creations because I thought they came out cute and they were SO simple which is even better!

Sweet Sleeping Boy

Yesterday I walked into Landon's room during his nap and this is what I found...pacifier in the mouth, one in his hand and Buster the dog in the other hand! I thought he looked so cute that I had to snap a few pictures. Landon only gets his pacifier(s) for his nap or at bedtime and I originally thought I would take them away at 18 months, but he is 20 months now and still LOVES sleeping with them. After watching him sleep like this it makes me sad to even try and take them away. Maybe I will make Daddy be the mean guy!! Then again, maybe I will not fight this battle just yet!?!?

Happy Birthday William

Singing to William

You cannot see Landon's face from this angle but he has a huge open mouth grin! He LOVES dogs!

We just got home from William's 1st Birthday Party...and boy did we have fun! Landon got to play with lots of other kiddos and Brian and I enjoyed chatting with our friends.

Trip to the Deep South

Landon and I spent a week in Port Isabel with my parents. The weather was so nice and we enjoyed the beach, the zoo, meeting up with friends and family, relaxing, eating great food and many other things. Landon and I were both very well taken care of while we were down. Brian says we BOTH got spoiled!

We went into Harlingen two times and we were able to eat with family. Landon got to go to Gattitown for the first time and he had so much fun. He would run from game to game, push buttons, rode the Merry Go Round, won tickets and "drove" a car! It was great just to see the excitement in his eyes.

Landon is the perfect age to enjoy the beach. He runs after seagulls, carries around seaweed, digs in the sand and splashes in the water!

We fed the seagulls so that Landon could get an up close and personal view of his "friends".

Enjoying the beach again...

Sand in one hand and seaweed in the other...does it get any better for a boy?!?!

Since there was a cool front we headed to the zoo hoping all the BIG animals would be out and they were!!! Landon enjoyed his time with Pa and Grammy at the zoo. He is obsessed with animals right now. He got to pet/brush goats and touch a snake and guinea pig. He actually wanted to hold the guinea pig himself, but that was not allowed due to the long nails. The guinea pig needed a pedicure!

If you look closely you can see the baby in the pouch.

Last outing was to the pirate store.

Grammy and Landon

Landon and I are in Port Isabel visiting my parents while Brian sweats it out in New Braunfels because our AC is out. Landon and I have really enjoyed going to the beach during off season. We have the beach to ourselves...very nice! The weather has been perfect too and Landon doesn't mind getting spoiled by the grandparents either!

Christmas in September!

YEAH!!! I had been wanting a Wii Fit for awhile, but there was a slight problem...we did not even have a Wii. I was thinking it would be something great for Christmas, however, I got a great surprise when Brian came home with a Wii and Wii Fit. I was so excited! I felt like a kid on Christmas morning! The Wii Fit is amazing. I am soooo sore from working out with it. It talks to you and encourages you to do better! It also weighs you and tells you your BMI...not so great!

Beautiful Canyon Lake

We went to a playdate at Canyon Lake and had so much fun! The weather was perfect...breezy, not too hot and great views! The boys liked playing under the covered playscape the best. Landon liked the rocks too! He was not much into walking in the water area because the rocks were slimy and he kept falling in, but he enjoyed picking them up and making BIG splashes.
