Petite Rouge - cajun version of Little Red Riding Hood

Landon and I met up with friends to see our very first Magic Theatre Production and we are so happy we have a season pass!  Landon was mesmerized and sat on the edge of his seat for the 1st half and then he was up dancing for the remainder of the show!  He was not ready for it to be over and wanted them back on the stage!  Good thing there are 7 more shows left in the season!  He got to meet the characters at the end and gave each of them big hugs!  Can't wait to see Junie B. Jones Jingle Bells, Batman Smells in December!

Pumpkin Patch with Friends

This tractor was a huge hit with all the lil' ones!

Landon pulling his buddy Cole!

Look at that concentration...

We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends and Landon took his friend, William, along...they had the best time together!  I was completely entertained in the car listening to a 3 year old boy conversation.  The kiddos enjoyed running through the pumpkins, pulling and filling up wagons, playing in the hay, going on a hay ride and painting the pumpkin of their choice!  we finished off the day at the picnic tables by the playground where they continued to run off their endless energy!

Camping on Lake Buchanan

Nothing like some good bacon on a camping trip!

Proud of his 1st catch of the day!  This was a funny story...Daddy casted his line out and then ran up to the motor home to get weights and Landon told me , "I think I got one!"  I thought he was just wanted to reel in the line for fun but I went ahead and told him to reel it in and check.  He was right...this fish was on the hook!

"Check out my sun perch!"

and another one...fishing was good :)

Beautiful Sunset

View from our campsite...beautiful!

Landon enjoyed climbing on the BIG rocks!

Daddy and his fishing buddy :)

Biggest catch of the weekend...see the bend in the pole!  Landon was really hoping to keep this fish so Daddy could grill it for our supper but we convinced him to throw it back!

Landon's version of wade fishing!  He was such a patient fisherman...Daddy would help him get the line out far and then he would sit down and wait for the bobber to disappear.  As soon as he had a bite he would hurry up and stand up and reel in the fish.  Daddy would take the hook out and Landon found great pleasure in throwing the fish back in the water.

View from my lawn chair...perfect!

The boys chillin' after a long, fun day!

 Playing with a minnow :)

Ended the evening with s'mores...yummy!

Landon loves the outdoors and is obsessed with fishing so we decided to go camping some place that had a lake...we ended up at Lake Buchanan and had the BEST family weekend!  My parents let us use their motorhome so we did not have to rough it in a tent which was nice.  Landon was over-the-top excited about riding in the motor home to get to our destination!  We booked a site on the water right by the boat ramp which was good because that was HUGE entertainment for Landon just watching the people launch their boats and go fishing; and then he was just as excited when they returned and he got to check out and tell them what kind of fish they caught!  Being by the boat ramp was also bad because Landon woke up before daylight each day so afraid he was going to miss something. I could not believe how many die hard fisherman get on the lake before dawn  - we were required to watch each one starting about 5:30am!  We had an overall GREAT experience and plan to go again soon...good thing we live in Texas where it is pretty much good camping weather even in the winter!

Markley Farm

Landon, Meme and I went to Markley Farm while she was in town for Thomas the Train.  It was a good place to snap some cute pictures with pumpkins, hay bales and tractors!  Landon enjoyed running around, getting on the tractor and big hay bale!  He picked out three pumpkins to put on our front porch!  Love this time of year with all the FUN Fall activities!

Day Out With Thomas The Train

At the hotel...dressed and ready to go! :)

Little Cheeser - He turned his hat backwards and asked me to take a picture of him like this!

Love this picture of him on the train!

Can you see the excitement in that face?!

Our family in front of Thomas!

 Pa, Landon and Meme

Hugging Sir Topham Hat...he was so excited to meet!

 Posing with Sir Topham Hat

Daddy caried the worn out lil' one to the car...he nearly fell asleep in the gift shop!

Sunday we went to Burnet and rode Thomas the Train!  Landon says the train ride was the best part of the whole day!  There was tons to do after the train ride and we just about did it all!  He went through the inflatable train obstacle course, got a tattoo on his hand, played with trains on the train table, met Sir Topham Hat, got a balloon shaped like a fishing pole with a shark attached, and picked out a few treasures from the gift shop!  It was such a perfect day to be outside!  Landon was super excited that Meme and Pa came up and shared this FUN day with him!  Pa was born in Burnet so he enjoyed being back in his old stomping grounds as well!  Love seeing my lil' guy's eyes twinkle with excitement at events like these!

Comal County Fair

 Showing off the baby chick!

 Putting it to sleep :)

 Loving the boat ride!

Super fast slide...he loved it of course!

 Pre-Parade FUN

 Enjoying the parade :)

 Ryan, Landon and Davis

Landon was SOOOO excited about the Chick-Fil-A Cow (funny thing is, he used to despise him!)

Pony ride...he named the pony Tanner!

Thursday night we went as a family to the Fair!  We started off the evening eating good ol' fair food and then we headed to the midway where Landon rode every ride they would let him on.  He is still bummed that they would not let him on the bumper cars.  After the last ride he wanted an icee...he is pretty good about sharing BUT not with his icee.  He did not want Daddy to have any of it!

Friday morning we met tons of MOPS friends at the parade.  Some of the dads got up early to get our chairs out so we could all sit together.  Landon loved the parade.  I was hoping to stay only an hour but I could not peel him away so we stayed 2 1/2 hours!  The rain did not bother him a bit either!  We went back to the fair, had lunch, saw the animals again and he rode a pony.  A good time was had by all at the fair this year!
