Cousins - Rylen and Landon

Rylen and the Bunny

Landon loved this little cow...I would not mind having it as a pet either, pretty low maintenance!

We celebrate Easter in Goliad every year with several family members on my Mom's side. Goliad does a community egg hunt on Saturday morning and Landon was the perfect age for it...he had so much fun visiting with the bunny and finding eggs! He has come a long way...he is not very fond of costumed creatures so I was pretty shocked that he liked this bunny so much. Very cute to watch him interact with it!

Beach Fun

My 1st ever "tourist" shot at the beach! =) Landon would not get in the picture with me...he was already acting like a teenager...he was probably embarrased of what his mom was doing!

We met some of our family at a park in Harlingen while we were down visiting my parents. We started out with a picnic lunch and then the kiddos got to play. They had fun running around and playing on all the equipment. It was nice seeing our family, chatting, and watching the kids have so much fun!

Life at Long Island Village

My Dad acting as Resident Chef =)

Washer Time

Landon made one in!

So very excited about his special treat while fishing...Sprite!

Multi-tasking at a young age...hope a big one doesn't bite!

Pool time

My parents live in a wonderful little neighborhood...there is always something fun going on either next door or at the clubhouse! The 1st night we were there they had "Chicken Night." You buy tickets ahead of time and then go join lots of neighbors for chicken and lots of tasty sides! We played dominoes afterward and I am excited to say that I won...must have been beginners luck! :) The next morning, we had "Community Breakfast" ~ all the my parents closest friends bring breakfast items down to one central carport and have a fabulous feast. The grill is also fired up and you can order eggs any way you like! My Dad was the resident chef this time...he loves that job. :) Landon loves taking part in all the other fun activities: swimming, fishing, washers, running his push toy in crazy circles and going on fast golf cart rides! I am so happy that my parents found such a great place to retire...they have met wonderful friends and stay busy with so many fun activities!

~Bluebonnet Time~

Our sweet boy...growing up way too fast!

I am sure he is saying to himself..."Come on, take the picture already!"

Major Cheeser

Playing in the flowers

Landon humored me once again as I took him to a bluebonnet patch to get some pictures in the beautiful flowers. He was much more interested in playing in the patch but I did end up with a few good shots! We love The Texas State Flower. :)

Fun with Friends

Landon so happy to be swinging!

Ethan lovin' it too :)

Buddies!

Landon and I met my dear friend from college, Kellie, and her son in San Marcos on Friday. I get such a warm fuzzy feeling when I go to San Marcos especially when I drive close to campus because I truly loved my college years there! We took the kiddos to the city park which is one of the all wooden ones that used to be eveywhere but are slowly being replaced by the plastic and metal ones. :( They had a fun running around, swinging, climbing and sliding. We then made our way to the new Chick-fil-A...that was the icing on the cake because what kid doesn't like CFL? Thanks Martini family for a fun playdate...we will have to do it again soon!

Around the house...

Landon, Ryan and Jake - Landon is taking a break to smile, and the other 2 boys are hard at work being great baristas! :)

Having fun on his swing set!

Cheesing it up for Mommy...notice the fish shirt~He is still obsessed with fish. :)

Landon had some friends over to play after his swim lesson. They had a blast playing outside in the sand/water, crashing cars, but there favorite activity of the day was making "coffee" and "tea." Landon can spend hours playing with his blender and coffee maker, so he was super excited to show his friends how much fun it is.

The other two shots are just some random pictures I got of Landon while he was playing.

He was a pretty sick guy this weekend so we did not get to do anything fun outside. Hope to post some spring pictures super soon. :)

Fun Fish

Daddy and Landon with Landon's 1st catch of the day!

Landon was so excited about his rainbow trout :)

His fish and trophy! :)

On Sunday, Landon participated in Fun Fish on the Guadalupe River. Children 3 and up were invited to come fish for Rainbow Trout...they stocked the river that morning, so we thought it would be fairly easy to catch the fish but they were picky eaters. Landon had a blast and loved reeling in each fish and turning it in to have it measured! He cannot wait until the event next year. So happy the weather is warming up and we will be able to take Landon to the river quite frequently to fish .

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Landon and Mrs. Heather
(Poor little Brogan in the back...he was not happy about having to wake up from his nap.)

Close up of The Cat in the Hat - AKA Mrs. Heather

Landon and his friends celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday on Tuesday while he was at Mother's Day Out. His teacher is super fun and dressed as Cat in the Hat and made them some very cute cupcakes that looked like the hat that the cat wears. Such a fun day for the little ones.
