While I was making Landon breakfast he took it upon himself to find one of Brian's hunting/fishing magazines and was happily going through it and excitedly identifying all the fish and animals! He came across a picture of a BIG buck and was saying "Big buck, boom, boom, boom!" He then left the kitchen and returned with his toy gun and proceeded to shoot the buck on the page. He loves shooting at Brian's animal mounts in the office but apparently this buck was much bigger than any of Daddy's mounts. Brian was very pleased to hear about this when he got home from work. :)

Starbucks...not just for coffee lovers!

I really enjoy a good latte from Starbucks. For just about every holiday or special event my parents and/or other family members give me a Starbucks gift card and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that! Starbucks is a treat for me and I generally only go when I have a GC. Thank goodness Christmas was just here! Landon is usually with me and he rarely gets anything but this time I asked if he wanted chocolate milk and, of course, he enthusiastically said, "Oh yeah!" I order his milk and was shocked to see just what a "kids chocolate milk" looks like. It was topped with lots of whipped cream and had chocolate syrup drizzled all over it. I was quite impressed and Landon gave it a two thumbs up as well! I think a Starbucks GC will be on his wish list to Santa next year...I am sure he will even hit up the Easter Bunny. Never hurts to ask!

After Landon's party we met several family and friends at Gruene Hall and let the kiddos dance to the music and the adults got to hang out and catch up before we ventured over to Gristmill for a fabulous dinner! If you have never been there on your birthday and you love strawberry shortcake you need to pay them a visit on your next big day! It is amazingly tasty...glad Landon shared his with me! :)

Monday was Landon's actual birthday and we headed to Chuck E. Cheese's with some friends and family for lunch and LOTS of playtime! Landon LOVES that place...he can still do without Chuck E. himself though! He had an awesome birthday and is still talking about all the fun things he did.

He is our little ball of fire and we are so blessed to have him in our life. He brings a smile to our face daily and always says something that makes us laugh! :)

Landon decided a couple of months ago that he wanted a John Deere Tractor Birthday Party and he talked about it frequently. This was the first year that he really "got" his birthday and understood that he would have a huge celebration, cake, ice cream and presents! Birthdays are holidays in our family and we celebrate the month, week and day! It has been so much fun watching to see how excited he has gotten about EVERYTHING! His party was at J&R Gymnastics which could not have been a better place...he loves the trampoline, foam pit, walking on the beam and jumping off and hanging from the bars...oh, and of course he likes to run around like a crazy boy! We would like to thank all of our friends and family for coming to his birthday bash and helping us celebrate Landon's BIG day!

Pa took Landon fishing and Daddy got to go along as the deck hand! Landon is quite the "catcher man!" He does not have the attention span to be a fisherman yet, but that will come with time! He does love to reel in his big fish and gets just excited with each one that he catches. Thanks Pa for taking Landon to a great fishing hole!

That evening Meme and I took Landon to run on the beach and then to Dairy Queen. Needless to say, Landon had a very fun filled day and had trouble settling down to go to sleep because he was so wound up from all the excitement!

Brian, Ryan (my brother) and Aaron (friend) went fishing New Years Eve and caught their limit in Red Snapper. It was an awesome trip! Thanks so much Cho Ro for being a great Captain and fish cleaner! ;)

That evening we had a community dinner with my parents friends and then one of the neighbors shot off some beautiful fireworks! It was an amazing show and we had the best view. It was like having it in your own backyard. Landon thought it was a little too close and told us it scared him and that his heart was sad. Poor little guy. I am sure the next firework show will not be so close and he will be fine. He loved them this past 4th of July, so we will see!

We celebrated Christmas during the New Year in Port Isabel. It was actually not as warm as I would have liked but we did have two really nice days, so that was good. :) Landon loved having another Christmas celebration...he is enjoying all his new toys, clothes and gadgets. My parents live in a great neighborhood with some fabulous neighbors. We had several meals with all of them and it is always lots of fun. I think Landon likes being the only little one around because everyone loves on him! We also made the rounds and ate at our favorite eateries...yummo! Thanks for a nice time MeMe and Pa!
